Why the Change?
I’m excited to announce the launch of the brand new version of my website: Website v3 is finally here! Over the past few weeks and months, I’ve been working hard to give my online presence a fresh look and a new focus. One of the main reasons for this overhaul is that I wasn’t really happy with the old design. It was mostly blue and turquoise, which didn’t really reflect my personal style or, for that matter, my online handle “Redacks” which, as some of you might guess, hints at my preference for the color red. You’ll notice the new design embraces this much more!
More importantly, the purpose of my website has also evolved. Previously, when I was actively applying for jobs, the site was geared more towards marketing myself and highlighting my availability. Now that I’m happily working at a company, my needs have changed. I wanted my website to better represent what I’ve actually done and what I’m capable of. That’s why this new version is designed to be more of a portfolio.
What’s New on Website v3?
So, what can you expect from the new website?
- Focus on Projects: You’ll find a much more detailed showcase of my past projects. I’ll be aiming to share as many interesting details as possible.
- Skills Section: A dedicated section outlining my technical skills and areas of expertise.
- Blog: I’ll be using the blog to share my thoughts on various development topics, insights I gain, and perhaps even some personal updates.
- “About Me” Page: This page will offer a more personal look into my journey as a developer, sharing some of my experiences and passions.
- Portfolio Emphasis: The overall focus is now on demonstrating my abilities through concrete examples rather than just listing services.
